The project involved a $1.9 million, 11,400 sf renovation of this 2-story administration building. The exterior shell and HVAC improvements were designed in accordance with FAA sound insulation guidelines as major funding was provided by the Port of Seattle/FAA. Building interiors were significantly demolished and replaced with modifications designed to bring the building into ADA compliance including updated toilet facilities and installation of an elevator lift providing passage between floors. Select furnishings were updated. Cross-lateral structural beams were installed to support ventilation equipment and the entire HVAC, lighting, power and data distribution systems replaced. The roof deck was infilled and a new roof assembly installed. An exterior walkway was installed providing ADA access to the first floor.
